We have a special opportunity today because, as you've already seen Jeffrey Jackson is

in town, but I want to sit down with him and sort of really let you guys get a taste

of what we all deal with with this Jeffrey Jackson character, what's he like to work on,

how do we come to the decisions we've made, how did it get here?

To start out with that, we're going to run a piece the very last time years ago when

he was on, this is just a little bit about Jeffrey Jackson.

My name is Jeffrey Jackson, I am the investigative reporter here at the Highwire.

A lot of people might not know this about me, but I went to college to become a doctor and

that was my dream.

I was very much pro-pharmaceutical medicine, pro-western medicine.

If I was sick, I would take over the counter medication, antibiotics, I remember getting

a flu shot.

In my senior year, I took a class, it was complimentary and alternative medicine and we watched

this video of this doctor and he was having a pretty invasive knee surgery and he was

awake and the only thing he had going on was acupuncture and hypnotherapy and he went

through the entire surgery completely awake and was cracking jokes the whole time.

Is this mining or somebody else's in the year operating at?

I had this aha moment, it just blew my mind.

I saw personal empowerment in action.

I saw what the human mind and the human body is actually capable of outside these limited

constructs that I had been taught up to that point.

I said, I need to meet these doctors.
