Summary

It's been a while since we did a Q&A episode, so Isaac fired up his much-throttled Instagram account for a live conversation with real people who asked real questions. This included queries about 3D printers, suppressor laws, customer support, and of course, lots of curiosity about new products.

Hey everybody, this is another T-Rex talk.

0:03.0

Wherein I get a whole bunch of random live questions from Instagram.

0:07.5

I try to record these things on Saturday, and this was a particularly busy Saturday,

0:12.7

hiking with some T-Rex guys who were preparing for a go-ruck event, running a bunch of errands,

0:17.3

doing a bunch of garden work, and actually doing a fair amount of furniture

0:21.0

restoration for a table, which I'm actually going to be pouring some epoxy on real

0:24.6

quickly. So, since I had to go into the shop to pick up a heat gun to do the epoxy pour, I decided

0:31.4

I would do a live stream on Instagram and collect questions from folks. The main reason that

0:37.4

we stopped doing the

0:39.4

live streams on YouTube back in the day was that YouTube placed a lot of restrictions on those

0:44.8

live streams. We couldn't handle firearms, but also they were getting fewer and fewer and fewer

0:49.6

views because, well, basically, Google wasn't alerting people to the fact that we were doing the live stream.

0:55.0

So we switched over to other forms of content.

0:57.9

But one of the things that I miss from the YouTube live streams is the interactive two-way communication with the different people who are commenting.

1:06.4

So since that's something that I miss and is, I think, added quite a bit, decided to do a live stream on Instagram and record the answers to the questions for this podcast.

1:17.0

Now, still not an entirely big fan of how that works. The problem is mostly me. I'm not great at recording two different types of media and keeping up with those kind of questions. So I'm still

1:29.7

trying to come up with a better way of doing this. But for now, you can listen to those questions.

1:35.4

I've paired them down a little bit, tried to make them a little bit faster so you don't hear

1:39.9

humming and hawing as I scroll through the little teeny tiny Instagram feed looking for good questions.

1:47.3

So someone had a question.

1:48.6

We're in the back of the shop.

1:50.1

For those of you who are listening and not watching, we're in the back of the T-Rex shop right now.
