On today's episode I sit down with American singer, songwriter,

and internet personality, Madison Beer.

She first began posting covers on YouTube at the age of 12 and

rose to prominence after Justin Bieber tweeted a link to one of her covers. She

currently has over 25 million Instagram followers and just released her debut studio album, Life Support.

You're one of the OG Instagram girls and you know Justin Bieber discovered you and how did that even happen?

It happened really out of nowhere. I have been recording

covers on YouTube for a couple of months, not even like years yet, and then I was signed to Justin this all happened when I was 12

so we're when you're 12 holy shit wait I didn't realize you were that young yeah

so we're 10 years out of that, which is pretty crazy, but yeah, I was a baby for sure.

Can you talk a little bit about like what life was like before that happened, know where you grew up your family just like life before fame

yeah I had me and I had a pretty normal upbringing from a small suburban town off of in Long Island.

And yeah, I mean I always knew I wanted to be a singer and I pursue Broadway that was honestly my dream was to be on

Broadway but I think that the concept of being like famous was so out of my realm
