I was episode number 60 recorded over two and a half years ago, which seems like a lifetime ago, at least in Internet speak.

We will link to that episode in the show notes. It kind of sets the tone

for everything in this one, but if you aren't already aware, Chris is the founder of Sidious Mag,

which is arguably the preeminent media source for track and field news and entertainment at the

moment. I have long been fascinated by operators like Chris in similar adjacent spaces, and these

interactions on the show attempt to bring some of that hard-earned wisdom over to the trail

community.

In this addition, we discuss the latest developments from a business and content standpoint

at Citius Mag, the influence of Netflix's sprint series on the

track and field scene, shifts in the overall sports media landscape, his key content and event

strategies for 2025 and beyond, and his perspective on Michael Johnson's brand new Grand Slam

Track League. Even if you are not a track and field fan, I think that there are a lot of

takeaways here. Chris is a great conversationalist. His answers to many of my questions, I believe,

have carryover to the Ultratrail world. And I mean, we are all on the same mission when it comes

to spreading the gospel of running. So there's that too. I wish this episode could have gone

four to five hours. I had so many questions and

likely many more follow-ups, but Chris is understandably a busy in-demand guy, and so one hour was

what we had to work with. Anyways, really enjoyed this one. Without further ado, let's get into it. Chris
