interviews today so less of me. Mike German, a fellow the Brennan Center for

Justice, will talk about white supremacist

organizations, particularly their connection with the cops and at the bottom of

the hour Hadas Tyre will talk about her new primer on Marxist economics.

You've probably seen the videos of the Philly cops

butying it up with the proud boys and the Portland cops greasing the way for

Patriot prayer. What is it with the police and violent white supremacist neo-Nazi organizations.

Here's Mike German, a former FBI agent and now fellow

at the Brennan Center for Justice

who specializes in liberty and national security

to explain.

So let's go back to your experience

before we talk about the current problem.

You went undercover when you first joined the FBI

in the early 90s, right?

What did you find? Who'd you investigate? Where was this based?

Right. It wasn't when I just joined the FBI. I had been an agent about four years and

was asked to go undercover in neo-Nazi groups in Southern California right after the civil unrest following the Rodney King beating.

So circumstances were remarkably similar and the FBI had picked up intelligence that

white supremacist groups were stockpiling weapons in advance of what they thought would be further unrest to try to
