First, the Israeli election.

On September 17th, Israel held elections for its parliament, the Knesset. The results were extremely inconclusive.

The popular vote was evenly divided, with less than eight-tenths of a percentage point separating the two leading parties, the Blue and White led by

Benigants, and Liqueud led by Benjamin and Yahoo. Blue and White got one more seat in the

Canesit than Liqueud, but both counts are only about half the majority needed to form a government.

For a moment, though, it looked like the long reign of the ghoulish reactionary Netanyahu, universally

known by his nickname, Beebe was over, but it was not to be. This election followed another

inconclusive affair in April which ended in Netanyahu being unable to form a

government. Hanging over Netanyahu's head, a likely indictment for a number of possible crimes,

including bullying on newspaper and a website into favorable coverage,

arranging weapons sales to Germany that could benefit his friends and family,

and a possible bribe offered to a political

candidate in exchange for dropping a case against his wife. It's no accident he's good

friends with Trump. Metanyahu now has four weeks to form a government, though it's not clear he can.
