Summary

Jake first catches you up on a busy day of Browns news leading up to Sunday. Then he is joined by James Carlson who covers the team as a part of Blue Wire Podcast Network's Texans Unfiltered. The two spend their time focusing on the Texans' busy offseason which was met with scrutiny but several key aspects were overlooked. Then they shift to the Texans' Week 1 win over Jacksonville and previewing this Sunday. Talking points include how the offense looked in putting up 37 points, the defense creating three turnovers, how their health is shaping up for Week 2, and identifying who the key figures are on both sides of the ball with many new faces this year. They also focus on the potential issues: the high points spread, the return of several former Browns, and where the Texans struggle most. Learn more about your ad choices. news, Anthony Walker's off to the IR. Something serious happened with that hamstring. It'll be a minimum of three games. The Browns will probably play Malcolm Smith, Elijah Lee. Mike is my best guess. Could green dot either of those guys? Could green dot John Johnson, if he's going to be the consistent one on the field? We'll see sort of how all that shakes out. But you're, you're going to lose players throughout the year.

It sounds like Walker is going to be able to come back at some point. I think he's a valuable part of this defense. It stinks. Not the end of the world. Have other linebackers step up and play a bit more, play JOK a bit more. You're going to have to rely on who's in the building. I do like Elijah Lee. There were some Ruben Foster rumors. Doesn't seem like that's going to happen. And the Lee bump up to the active squad probably tells you that that's not going to happen.

2:21.7

So again, a long year, you're going to lose some people. Don't panic about it. Okay.
