channel and on this show we are taking a trip up the East Lanc's road to get the

inside track on Manchester United who are of course the visitors to

Anfield for today's huge match. I say huge not just because it's the first meeting of

the season between two of football's greatest rivals but also because Manchester United moved above Liverpool to the football's greatest rivals, but also because Manchester United moved above

Liverpool to the top of the Premier League with a 1-0 victory at Burnley in midweek.

That Chrissy victory extended the United Unbeaten League run to 11 matches and whisper it quietly left us wondering

whether they do have what it takes to challenge Liverpool for the title or even stop them

from defending it.

So to find out more I picked up the phone to Samuel Luckhurst who is the chief Manchester United

writer for the Manchester Evening News. As well as the United's title challenge, we talked

their manager Oly Gonna Solshar, whose last away defeat in the league came almost a year ago today. the two-nill victory that moved Liverpool 16 points clear at the top and moved the cops saying

for the first time we're gonna win the league.

Back then the United didn't have Bruno Fernandez in their ranks and I spoke to Samuel

about the Virgil van Dyke type impact the Portuguese has had at Old Trafford,

as well as Marcus Rashford, who had there been supporters at Anfield today,

no doubt would have been applauded by all sides of the ground, given what he has done for kids around here and across the country
