Yesterday, I didn't realize that we had reached two years with this daily podcast.

God and our lady, especially under the title of Our Lady of Fatima are doing something very big in the world

and thanks be to God we get to be a small part

in what they're doing

but it's important that we do our part

that's what our lady is calling us to

so let's begin on the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit

let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for.

We continue to offer this rosary for the strengthening of Jeannie Sherman

and especially for Archbishop Naumann's mother, Louise.

Today is the feast of the beheading, the martyrdom of John the Baptist.

John the Baptist appeared. He preached in the wilderness, and this was his message.

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand he said therefore to the crowds who came to be

baptized by him brood of vipers who warned you to fly from the retribution that is coming but if you

are repentant produce the appropriate fruits and do not think of telling yourselves, we have Abraham for our father,

because I tell you, God can raise children for Abraham from these very stones. Yes, even now,

the axe is laid to the root of the trees, so that any tree which fails to produce good fruit

will be cut down and thrown on the fire.
