I've been wanting to talk to Father Dwight for a long, long time, And there's no better time to do so than when he's

released a new book. He's released a new book on Sophia Institute Press. So we are labelmates.

And we both got books out now. And that makes us book buddies. Good morning, Father Dwight. I hope

So your book is beheading Hydra, and it's something of a play-by-play for Christians in an atheist-dominated age.

Yeah. Would you tell us how long this thing took to construct? Because the atheist playbook

has been changing week to week, it seems, or at least month to month. So how long did you

work on this thing? What was the original conception? Well, it initially was a spin-off of

another book idea that I had, which I floated to Sophia, and I began writing

the first half of that book, and I said, no, there's another whole book here. So they were happy

for me to split off and create two books. And I'm working on the second one now. But this one

was meant to be the first half of this book, which was, what's the problem? The second half is,

what's the solution? And if you say, how long has it been taking? 500 years, actually,

because it goes into, it discusses why our current age in America is deeply atheistic and more atheistic than we actually like to give credit for or acknowledge because we're in a state of denial.

We think we're a Christian country.

But these philosophies and ideologies that the majority of Americans follow have been sort of gestating and brewing for the last 500 years,

beginning with the Protestant revolution in the 16th century,

and then moving through the various revolutions,
