For many years, I would never have considered myself to be a morning person but something about the older I get

the more I love the morning hours maybe it's age maybe it is a little more maturity I'm learning

that the morning hours are wonderful hours and now we're walking through the psalms and we've come to

psalm 5 Psalm 5 is a morning Psalm. Now remember,

the previous Psalm, Psalm 4 was an evening Psalm. It showed us how to end our day with God.

Well, Psalm 5, I believe, shows us how to begin our day with God. And it is placed at the very same

place that the previous Psalm was. David is on the run from Absalom,

running for his life. And this particular Psalm fits between 2 Samuel 17 and 2 Samuel 18,

when they are weary and they are hungry and they are thirsty and now suddenly, after a few
