I think it's really important that we date as wisely and intentionally as possible.

It can't be done perfectly, but it can be done wisely. And it can be intentional,

and it can be done in community. And what's interesting is that for those of you that are not

familiar with the ministry Conway and I did before we started, one, it was singles ministry.

That's what we did at our last church. And it was, I mean, it was just the joy.

And we wrote a book out of that ministry, which many of you have already read when loves in view.

And it kind of gave a framework for dating because those are the questions we were getting all

of the time. And so I think it's important to have these conversations before you get in a relationship

and probably to undo some thinking that you may have had

through the course of life. But before we get into, I just want to say a quick word about,

I do think that also in our culture today, we wrestle with the idolatry of marriage.

And the thing is, if an idol obviously is anything that has become more important than God in your life.

And I think because our culture, and I'm not talking about the Christian culture, I'm talking about society.

It's not like only Christians are getting married.

As a matter of fact, the rate of Christians intermarrying is higher than it's ever been.
