Hello, let's start with a quick update on something we were talking about in the last episode.

Do you remember, we recorded it on Friday afternoon and we spoke to Paul Pringle who owns a few bars in Newcastle and it was a couple of hours before he was going to have to close them all at 10 p.m. as part of the new restrictions

Oh, so I mean that tells you something good about human nature, doesn't it?

In that when people are told you've got to do something and it's for public health reasons,

you might think, oh, there'd be a bit of aggression but actually

people just accepted it. People do behave themselves and they do do what they

asked to do when they're in pubs and restaurants and bars and that's why I think

the infection rated down in those places but the government seems to think otherwise

all the time. Is the subtext of what you're saying though that actually people

should be trusted and

venues should be trusted to stay open past 10 o'clock.

Listen even if it was 12 midnight, 12 midnight, you know, there's a lot of people had

the night out by then and they'll just naturally filter off home.

Whereas 10 o'clock, it's just that time where it's sort of, especially in the day and age that we live in now,

where the youngsters prefer to come out later.
