So, definitely black women are not treated fairly in hospitals in my opinion and I think the numbers and statistics

They back you up for sure you know I had a situation with my mom when she passed away. That was very unfortunate. You know it shouldn't have happened

There was some negligence on a part of a hospital on a part of a resident

Which caused my mother's death. And my mom at the time she was very vocal that she came into the hospital feeling one way and she felt worse as time progressed that she was in there over the course of two days and they

wanted to release her she said you can't release me how do I feel worse that

after since I've been here than the way I walked in the door like and so I went I was like all right look we're

gonna get you out of here and bring you to another hospital and try and

figure out what's going on and she ended up dying right I'm sorry bro and they tried to say that it was a heart attack. But it wasn't a heart attack. It was a therapeutic complication from a procedure that was done.

And her cries just went unheard.

And I'm hearing this over and over from people.

And it's a lot of black people that I know that this is happening to.

So as a woman, if you're going in,

even if it's for childbirth, you have to be careful.

You know?

I remember when my youngest daughter was born,

just being there for that and the doctor just being real nasty to me

because I was trying to like record.

I wasn't being all crazy.
