Sometime in the early 1900s, in the northern islands of the Canadian Arctic, an innuid girl

named Humahawk was out with her father walking across the ice and rocks.

She was about seven or eight at the time, and Humahawk and her father were out looking

for driftwood, when something bright caught her eye.
