Today we're going to continue in our lifestyle series and talk about what it means to become a spiritual

0:21.0

athlete. This was such a key truth for me to learn in my Christian

0:25.4

walk because going into ministry I had no idea of the battle that I was entering

0:32.2

into. I think a lot of people experience this,

0:35.0

whether you're just mentoring someone or teaching a small group Sunday school class

1:38.9

overwhelming to me. In addition to that, I was facing some pretty intense false accusation and

1:44.8

betrayal from people I had really trusted and it completely robbed me of my

1:49.6

perspective and joy. I felt like a victim. I kept asking God why he was allowing all of this to happen to me and

1:55.9

emotionally it felt like everything in my life was basically just falling apart I

2:00.0

did not have the strength to cope let alone triumph through any of these challenges.
