class what we wanted to be when we grew up, and I said I wanted to be a dad.

I just wanted to be someone's dad.

Why dad?

I'll ask myself that.

Because as a kid, I didn't know that I was trans, but I didn't...

Saying mum felt wrong, like that wasn't who I wanted to be to my kids.
