The theme of our prayer this morning

We ask you, Lord, who presides over this time of prayer,

to enlighten us with a spirit of conversion that involves a two-fold grace, an enlightenment to the mind on God's will for me, and a nudge to the heart to follow that light.

And in case I lull people to sleep, the reason why we need to contemplate Jesus' self-emptying,

because God is defined by the Holy Spirit through St. John as infinite self-giving love.
