0:01.4	If you didn't bring a Bible with you this morning, would you hold up your hand?
0:04.7	We have extra Bibles.
0:05.7	We'll be glad to let you use one of ours.
0:07.8	And let's go to John 8, gospel account of John, 8th chapter, and the 31st verse.
0:20.1	Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
0:25.4	if you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth,
0:35.0	and the truth shall make you free.
0:39.2	Thank you, Lord.
0:41.5	The NIV says, if you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
0:49.0	The weist says, and you shall know the truth in an experiential way, and the truth shall make you free.
0:58.5	So we've been on this for some weeks now talking about becoming a disciple of Jesus.
1:04.9	And we see that just because a person is a believer, that doesn't make them a disciple. And the difference is in commitment.
1:15.6	Different commitment level entirely. And you can believe on the Lord and commit to him that he is your Savior and trust on him to be saved from hell and to be saved from sin.
1:31.0	And yet, you can still be your own Lord and run your life.
1:38.0	And the reality is that's how millions of believers operate.
1:43.8	Jesus is not really their Lord.
1:45.4	They say he is, but he's not.
1:48.0	If he's your Lord, your life is no longer your own.
1:52.8	You don't do your plans.
1:55.3	You don't run your life.
1:57.1	He does.
