0:08.0	I wanna start with some scripture that will help set
0:11.0	the tone for us from 1 Thessalonians chapter three.
0:15.0	Paul really wanted to reach this city
0:17.1	because he knew if he could reach this city,
0:19.9	he could make a massive difference all over the world
0:22.6	because of the trade that would come into the city
0:25.1	from the east and from the west.
0:26.9	If he can just reach these people,
0:29.4	he could spread the gospel all over.
0:32.1	So Paul preached there three different times,
0:35.4	made an impact, but because of opposition,
0:38.5	they actually had to smuggle him out of the city.
0:41.2	So he was wondering, did we make a difference?
0:44.4	Did the message of the gospel impact lives?
0:47.1	In other words, would it stick?
0:49.4	Would they continue to follow Jesus?
0:51.5	So he heard really encouraging news
0:55.2	and he wrote them this letter with this little nugget
