Even as an adult, Martha Shale remembers the sting of abuse that she felt as a child.

It caused her to keep her distance from an important person in her life.

I could never come to that place where I could spend the night at my

father's house and if I did for some reason that that bedroom door would be locked.

Abortion affects us as a nation and it does so by affecting individuals. Although Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, abortion is still legal in some

states. Yesterday we began hearing from a woman deeply affected by abortion and

that might be your story too. I want you to know there is

healing there is hope in Jesus if you haven't yet found that. If you know the

pain of abortion my heart goes out to you.

be found in Jesus Christ. Now here's Nancy with a further introduction of today's

guest. Martha grew up in an abusive, chaotic home where there was much fighting and arguing.

Her father left the home when she was eight years old but for years she was just

bound with dreadful horrible memories of the relationship she had with her dad.

When Martha became a teenager she became involved in a permissive, promiscuous lifestyle.

She ended up involved in sex and alcohol and drugs and then found herself pregnant by her

boyfriend and ended up having an abortion. After having the abortion

she married Rich who was the father of the child she had aborted and then Martha

and Rich had a son that they named Andrew.
