Did you know that science has proven that the way we look out onto the horizon can

actually lower our stress levels?

I love it when science comes to prove what the Bible has already said.

Far, far before that scientific study had ever been done.

In Psalm 145, verse 5, the psalmist wrote,

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of your majesty and on your wondrous works.

Let me read that again.

He said, I will meditate on the glorious splendor of your majesty

and on your wondrous works. You know, meditate simply means to imagine or mutter or ponder.

So go with me in a moment to imagine together.

Think about the most beautiful thing in nature you have ever seen.

Splendor in our verse means glorious or gorgeous appearance.

Think about something you've seen in nature that is glorious or gorgeous appearance. Think about something you've seen in nature

that is glorious or gorgeous.

Maybe you've seen it in real life,

maybe simply a painting,

maybe it's a field or the ocean

or flowers or forest or mountains.

Go back to that place use your imagination imagine what it would smell like what do you hear are there birds or waves or silence.

Do you feel a breeze in your face or do you feel sun on your skin?

Use that God-given imagination

to picture the incredible beauty of this creation.
