Shaykh Yasir Qadhi acquaints us with the unique characteristics of Allah's names and how we should comprehend these divine names. Among the most common names of Allah is Ar-Rahman and Ar-Raheem, Arhamar Rahimeen, KhairUr-Rahimeen and Dhur-Rahma. Some unique characteristics of Allah’s names are synonymous with the following: Allah SWT has 99 names. How so? Allah’s names are always extracted from the Qur'an and Sunnah. Allah's names are eternal. Allah’s names always commence with a capital letter such as Ar Raheem, Al-Malik, Al-Quddus. Allah's names must exude truthfulness and valid meaning. Allah's names appear in pairs more often than not such as Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem, Al-Hayy Al-Qayyum.

So we were discussing the names and attributes of Allah Subhana with Allah and we now move on to the names of Allah that come from the root Rahima to show mercy and we know that of the most common names of

a Rachman and a Rahaim and in fact they always come after mentioning the name of

And in fact, it is not just these two names that have been derived from the root Rahimah.

Rather, at least five names of Allah have come from the same root to show mercy. You have Rahman, you have Rahim. You also have

Arhamu Rahimine, the most merciful of those who show mercy. And you have Kairu Rahimine, the best of those who show mercy and you have Kairu Rahimin the best of those who show mercy and you have

the rahama the one who has and who is characterized by mercy so these are five names of

Allah Subhana wata, all of which are derived from the root to show mercy.

And before we go on talking about all of these names, we need to understand and clarify a very important point and that is what exactly
