We've got to get something in your stomach. Could you manage just a couple

bites of a granola bar? That's what Robin, the nurse assigned to my care, said to me on a

Friday morning, early last March, my fifth consecutive day of chemotherapy. I'm too nauseous to eat, but the lack of food in my body is causing a reaction to the

poison cocktail that they're drip feeding me through a port in my chest just below my

collarbone.

I'm being fed a combination of toxins, dangerous enough that the nurse has to wrap herself

in the medical equivalent to

a hazmat suit just to handle the plastic bag full of a couple liters worth of liquid that

they're going to drip feed directly into my bloodstream.

These drugs are killing me slowly.

But thankfully, first they're killing the cancer that's killing me quickly. Just a couple of

weeks prior to my diagnosis, I had facilitated a workshop on supernatural healing for thousands of people

at last year's Holy Spirit conference at the Portland Convention Center,

where we prayed for miraculous healing and celebrated the power of the Holy Spirit among us

through the stories that followed.
