Being the first one, a good opportunity to add another center.

Obviously, that's been a tough position for us since I've been here, really.

So we had an opportunity to bring Logan in and a high character guy, really smart,

fits our scheme in terms of being able to run mid-zone, wide-zone, strong explosive.

That's great range.

Reach and cut off.

Really like this tape, so it was a good addition there.

He will, I think, have an opportunity to win that job.

Now look, being a center in the NFL is difficult and complicated.

And Garrett Bradbury has done it well for his time in the NFL.

And we were talking about it before the show.

The situation with Drew Dalman pushed the bears into being like, ooh, bleep.

Like we've got to do something.

We can't totally count on the fact that the center that we want is going to be at the draft.

So we better, at the very least, have a center

who we think can play right now. And it worked out with the trade with New England because

they have a young center that they're moving into the starting job at center. So it works out.

You trade a pick. You get a guy and you move on. What we now know for sure, and you could argue we knew it last year when they signed Drew Dalman, is that this brain trust, as led by Ben Johnson, knows how important the position is. They get it. And Ben gets it. And he knew it in Detroit. He lived it with Frank Rag now. As soon as they got here, he's like, yeah, we're going to need to do something about this. And they go spend all the money on Drew Dolman. And he solves it for a young quarterback. And then Dolman quits. And as you say, all right, we better cover our ass because we're not going to take a step backwards. Bradbury allows them not to take a step backwards as soon as training camp comes. But now you get an opportunity and they leap at the opportunity.
