Hello friends and happy new year. Welcome to 2022. I record these episodes just a little

bit ahead of time, so I'm not actually recording in 2022, but I know that's when you're probably

listening. So happy new year. I'm so thankful we've reached 2022. It is time for us to get

our minds and hearts aligned with the truth of God for this new year. And we're doing

so right now through a short little series we're doing called 2022 Prep. And as we move

into 2022, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to some new partners who have come on to help us

support the financial side of the morning mindset. That's Dan and James and Andrew and Lee and

Jessica. Thank you all for being the most recent partners who have joined us. We're so thankful

you're here and we're so thankful to be partnering with you in getting the word out about the

morning mindset day after day after day or today. We are going to talk about bearing fruit

in the new year. Bearing fruit, you know, you think about a fruit tree or a grapevine or some sort

of an agricultural image that you drop in your eye. And healthy plants produce fruit of some

sorts. It's not always edible fruit, but it's the fruit that produces the seed and then the seed

drops into the soil and it grows as a result and it produces offspring of itself through that fruit.

That is what we as believers in Christ are told by Jesus we are to do. And today we're going to

look at John chapter 15 that gives us an idea of how that fruit bearing process happens in the

Christian walk. And this may introduce a concept to you that you've not heard phrased in the way

I'm going to phrase it, but it is a cooperative sort of a process where Jesus actually does the work

of producing the fruit, but he does it through us. John 15 verses one through three are what we're

going to look at today. Jesus says, I am the true vine and my father is the vine dresser.

Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he takes away. And every branch that does bear fruit,

he prunes that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I've spoken to you.
