Welcome, welcome, welcome. This is episode 202 of the distraction pieces podcast. What a time we're having at the moment, right?

Last week's episode was 201, obviously, that's how numbers work and it was the longer-weighted chat with Sedric Bixler about the driving and the Mars Volker and numerous other projects.

And thank for it. It seemed to live up to all your expectations guys because it's one I've been promising for a long time. I'm a big fan of Sedric.

I wanted to do the interview that I've always wanted to hear with him and although we only had an hour, it was quite tight.

It went down the tree, it felt and the week before that obviously was the big 200 episode with Jess Tom Tourette's hero.

What a reaction I've got to that two weeks on and I'm still getting messages about that episode and the impact.

So yeah, go and check that out. That had to be the 200 one because I knew it was going to be one the best I've ever done.

This week's guest is Beans on Toast. I love Beans on Toast, the person and the food. The person more, in fact, I don't eat the food very often.

But I enjoy any opportunity to say hello to Jay. I've known Beans on Toast for years. We're getting full of this. I don't know what I'm telling you.

What I will tell you is this is a double episode. Or actually I'll mention that last week's episode with Sedric got some love from the 2000 Trees Festival, which gets some love in this podcast.

It was recorded before that happens. That's nice. And 2000 Trees has got at the driving and enter Shakari.

Obviously previous guest on the podcast as well. So they'll they're line up this year is strong and Beans on Toast has played their numerous times.

That's why it comes up in this conversation. But I'll tell you that I'm doing double episodes again this week because I've got some great ones.

I've put these two together so it'll be the Wednesday today and Friday because they're both just such amazing insights into the music industry.

So you'll hear Beans on Toast now. But next week I've got Nick Hawkes who started Excel, who signed the prodigy, who brought Adam F over to EMI and got him in work and we've hit pop legends.

He's soundhouse a pain. He did all sorts of stuff and his stories are absolutely amazing. He's just started a podcast with Eddie Temple Morris.

He's just started a podcast with Eddie called Trailblazers and it's talking to kind of legends of the dance scene.

So I think the first week is Gary Newman and then in fact, by Slam and Goldie and all sorts of great people. So yeah, some really good good music in three ones.

And I thought I'd double them up because I'm just recording so many at the moment. But speaking of the music industry, one of the things that comes up a lot in both of these conversations is the changes in the way the music in the studio works.
