Today's tip is to become famous for something. I don't mean as a celebrity,

necessarily. I mean become known in your family or within your community for something specific

or offbeat. This can give people a way to relate to you and can help create traditions

that everyone finds fun or meaningful. Sometimes it seems like Andy Warhol's famous

admonition that everyone will be famous for 15 minutes has come more than true.

With dozens of reality shows and numerous folks achieving internet fame,

there are minor celebrities everywhere. But there is another way that we use the word famous.

I'm thinking like when someone talks about their grandmother's famous brownies.

Your sister-in-law's famous apple pie or your neighbors famous Halloween decorations.

Your managers famous red pants that he wears to the annual Christmas party.

I've heard about a third grade teacher who was famous in her school for dancing on the tables.

Kids would work really hard in her class because they knew that if they accomplished something

important, this teacher even into her 70s would climb onto the table and dance in joy at their
