We have sports commentators who are not just talking sports anymore. We have political commentators

who are not just talking politics anymore. We have seen faith infiltrate all aspects of communication

now. And on one hand, that is awesome. That should be celebrated. That should be an exciting time.

But we just have to be careful in the information we take. We have to be discerning.

hears a country song on the radio and here's the words God or pray, he'll ask me, Mom,

is this a Christian song? Is this person a

Christian? And I have to explain to him just because someone says those words doesn't mean they

truly follow Christ. And for his mind, it can be very confusing. And these are conversations

we literally have a couple times a week in the car. And really, that's the world we live in today.

A world where social media gives us little snapshots of people's lives.

A post here, a story there, a quote that sounds inspiring.

And sometimes we might agree with what we see.

But we have to be careful.

Just because someone talks about God or faith doesn't mean they are

living it. And that applies to Christian leaders, but also applies to political leaders, social media

influencers, and celebrities. Just because they post about prayer, family, or even Jesus, and we

might agree with them maybe 80% of the time, what do their other

posts say?

You know, social media, Instagram, it can reveal a lot about somebody and it can reveal a lot
