When you're waiting, it seems like everything ticks, the clock on the wall, your heart,

the tapping of your finger on the side table, just relentless taking and tapping and waiting.

Is there anything harder than being patient?

But waiting is a very active part of living, isn't it?

Joyce Meyer once said that patience is not simply the ability to wait, it's how we behave

while we're waiting.

So this meditation from Hebrews chapter 9 will help you be aware as you wait, being mindful

of God in the midst of the distracting, ticking, tapping and waiting.

So as we begin, just know you're safe here, surrounded by the Word of God and the incarnate

Word that is His Son.

Just be patient here in the presence of God.

Begin by taking three deep belly breaths as your eyes drift from open to a soft focus

to closed.

And just wait in this place of promise, this time of now, in this very present moment

in the presence of God, spirit and Son.

Prepare by listening and praying through this passage from Titus, chapter 2, and respond

softly, Lord God, teach me to be aware and wait on you.
