Hello there and this is Sam and this is the Victor Prep Vocal Podcast episode 71 and it's June in California and what we have in June in California is the June gloom

which means that instead of being super sunny and nice as you might expect in June

instead it's cloudy and cooler and not really very summer-like at all.

So the last few days we've had what we call here June gloom, which basically means it's cloudy

when it should be sunny. So yes. But a change is as good as a rest as they say, so I actually quite like it it's different from the endless sunny

clear sky days so let's review the words from last time, which was 70.

And I feel like because we did the test yesterday,

it means we're gonna review the words

from episode 70 multiple times.

Okay, let's do episode 70 words.

Pension, pension, I feel ridiculous going through these words again, but

pension is a strong liking for something or a tendency to do something. Contumacious, that means stubborn or willfully

disobedient to authority. Catilist, a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction, or a person or thing which

precipitates some event, which makes some event happen and expugate

to remove matter thought to be unsuitable or questionable or racist or similar from a book or some other piece of

text. All right then so back to our episode 71 and to start this episode I want to start with a quote from one of my

favorite writers and I know I've said that a lot but this guy really really is one of my favorites

that's Ernest Hemingway and this is from the book The Sun

also rises, which is also one of my favorite books of all time. Absolutely love this book and

it's highly recommended. So here's the quote.
