Kevin, there you go. Kevin, there was I don't know the guy's name. There's a guy who hosts the the early morning ABC national show. I don't know if it's called good morning, America morning.

He looks just like you. I mean, he looks just like you and I'm trying to find his name so you can look him up, but I was watching this morning at four 20 and I said, oh, my God, that's Kevin McCarthy.

Well, I used to get Edward Snowden all the time. So I'll take I'll take I'll take any any any any any different name is cool with me too. So whatever.

I'm down so yeah. Yeah, but I know it's good to talk to you guys this morning. Are you guys following the whole stack strike thing that's happening right now?

I mean, I don't really understand it. I know it's getting more serious because it's not just the writers that are striking out. It's also the actors, correct?

Yeah, I mean, this is I mean, this is a huge deal for at least from my perspective. And I think a lot of people. This is going to affect a lot of people. So just to give like a quick brief idea between on the writers have been striking for weeks.

So the WGA the writers guild America. They started striking, you know, weeks ago and essentially what was what was happening was sag after which is the screen actors guild, which I am actually a part of, but I'm part of it from a broadcast perspective.

I'm not, you know, it's a different. It's a different realm. But the screen actors guild the actors have to be, you know, essentially a part of this screen actors guild that's kind of how they regulate, you know, you know, the fairness in terms of what the actors are paid and hours and things like that.

And so for a long time, the WGA and and and sag, they've been in like negotiations and as of July 1st, which was supposed to be the deadline.

They were going to talk about whether or not they were going to announce a strike. Now a strike basically means, you know, with sag, but essentially that movie production television productions have to shut down actors can't do media press junkets for their new films.

You know, I don't believe they contain that I'm believe they can attend like premieres of their new films festivals and things like that, which obviously, you know, not to make it about me, but directly affects my job, right? Because basically, you know, by going on strike, I'm, you know, let's say like, you know, the new Barbie movie hadn't done press yet.

And they were going to do press next week. They wouldn't be able to now because because the strike is official. So reason why I mentioned July 1st was because July 1st was the original deadline.

And all all the press junkets that I was that I was doing in June seem to be forced into June to get to happen before that deadline.

That's why in June, I was in like San Francisco, LA three times. I was in, you know, Rome for for mission impossible Barbie was in LA.

I was in New Orleans for haunted mansion. Now I'm not saying all of those moved, but it seemed like a lot of press events were happening in a very short amount of time.

And I think studios just, in my opinion, knew that this was coming and they were trying to get their actors to do as much press, you know, prior to the strike happening.

So the big one for me was Oppenheimer, the new Christopher Nolan film. And that's, you know, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey, Jr., Killian Murphy, Romney Malik, Florence Pew, Josh Hartnett.

I mean, this is Gary Oldman, one of the biggest cast ever. And it's my most anticipated movie of the year. And so I, when they announced that this strike was going to happen, I thought that film was going to get affected.
