In BBC OS conversations, we bring people together from around the globe to share their experiences. This time, we're hearing from

people inside Gaza. After 19 months of war, Israel says it's preparing to expand its military

campaign in Gaza. The aim is to defeat and dismantle Hamas, regarded as a terrorist organization

by many countries and bring home the remaining

59 hostages, up to 24 of whom are believed to be alive. They've been held in captivity since

Hamas gunmen attacked Israel on October 7, 23, killing about 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.

On OS conversations, we've heard from voices on both sides during this war.

Today, we hear from people living in Gaza.

They tell us about the struggle for food since Israel cut off humanitarian aid at the beginning of March after the collapse of a two-month

ceasefire. Israel says thousands of lorry loads of aid entered during that ceasefire and there is no

shortage. But aid agencies have warned of mass starvation unless the blockade ends.

My colleague Mark Lowen brought together Ezra and Weam, who you'll hear first.

She had been in the north until the bombing caused her to move further south to a city in the centre of the Gaza Strip.

As you know, the borders has been closed for more than two months,

and Samin has spread severely from the north to the south. There is no meat, not chicken, and the vegetables available in the markets are extremely expensive. A kilo of lemons used to cost $2 before the war,

and now it costs $33.
