The last few years, Christian colleges have faced a crisis of how to respond to increasingly

loud calls to accommodate LGBTQ students.

Many stayed committed to historic Christian teaching, but others flipped a lot.

And a few others attempted half-measures.

For example, Baylor University chartered an LGBT-centered campus group while keeping their

students' actual standards intact.

While unsurprisingly, this club, known as Prism, has now progressed beyond merely providing

a space for LGBT students to come together, and now two deleted Instagram posts, Prism

advertised events, promoting, quote, queer sex ed, and information about the origins and

significance of the colors and flags of the LGBT movement.

This is a classic case of the so-called road of good intentions.

Christians are called to love one another and their neighbors in the watching world.

But when the church takes its understanding of what love is from the world, the water

down counterfeit eventually leads us to endorse whatever sins are currently culturally

popular.

Love always means working for another's good, not just for the good of their feelings.
