Welcome into a Friday edition of the LoPose podcast where a story on ESPN plunged the

NBA into chaos yesterday.

The author of the story, Baxter Holmes is here.

As you surely know by now, if you're listening to this podcast, it is a 7,000 word investigative

piece that details allegations of sexism, racism, the use of the N word, a climate of toxic

misogyny at the Phoenix Sons during the 17 years of Robert Sober's governorship of the

team.

It is based on Baxter Holmes's interviews with over 70 people, current and former employees

mostly, most of which spoke anonymously for obvious reasons fear of reprisals.

These are very sensitive details, one or two of which spoke on the record, including former

Phoenix Sons head coach Earl Watson.

Needless to say the allegations are damning beyond damning really if proven true.

And we'll talk about the number of witnesses to many of these particular anecdotes because

I think that has gotten a little bit lost in the reaction to the story.

Robert Sarver, again who has owned the Sons for 17 years, forcefully denied almost everything

in Baxter's story.

He confirmed a couple of incidents that we can talk about later.

Frankly, I thought that was a rather smart legal strategy on his part confirm some of

the instances that he and his mind, I think, throws away as sort of jocular attempts at

fun and deny everything else.

But the four, the denials are forceful.
