The Battle of the Psalm was the defining battle of the First World War and was fought from July to November in 1916. The day it started, July 1st, was the

bloodiest day in the history of the British Army. Hundreds of thousands would lose their

lives in the four months of fighting. This was the beginning of the modern all-arms warfare.

With this level of bloodshed, it isn't surprising that the battlefield is reputed to be incredibly haunted.

Join us as we explore the history and hauntings of the Battle of the Somme. The World War I was the first global conflict in recorded human history, and it began in 1914.

The trigger that started the conflict was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria,

heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary.
