Well, I almost didn't make it today to the Fox Bureau in Washington.

You know, if you live in D.C., you're used to tight security.

Motorcades, helicopters overhead, sometimes you just have to stop.

And over the years, you know, there are marathons.

I mean, I've seen lots and lots of security.

Never seen anything like what I encountered this morning.

Maybe related to the visit of the German chancellor.

I don't know.

But over a period of about, a space of about a mile or more, there's a series of left turns that you can make off of Independence Avenue or almost matter where you're coming from.

To get, you know, the Fox Bureau was two blocks from the Capitol, so we're sort of ground central here.

Police cars, trucks, series of civilian cars, just blocking every possible approach.

You know, it's okay, I'm not going to do this. I'll circle back. I'll try this. I'll make a U-turn.

Never seen anything like it. I mean, sometimes there are marathons. I mean, you'd get used to all this. It's just flabbergasting. And it was at the point where I thought, well, I don't know.
