The battle for bathrooms.

Hello again, I'm Orman Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International.

Access to school, bathrooms, and locker rooms for transgender kids is the latest front in America's

culture wars. Two weeks ago, the Obama administration directed that gender identity should be the

deciding factor rather than gender at birth. 13 states have already filed suit accusing the federal

government of massive social experiment that threatens the safety of children.

Others say they're ready to join in.

States that don't accept the guidelines face a possible loss of federal money.

We'll hear how a school in Kentucky is already accommodating transgender students without any public outcry.
