In the last episode, I covered how I used unique brainstorming techniques

to identify topics to do keyword research on that very few other bloggers are able to find.

In this episode, I'm going to go over some batching techniques that I use to supercharge my

productivity when I am

performing keyword research. In case you're not familiar with batching, it is a form of time

management that allows a person to maximize concentration and decrease distraction.

What you are left with is a big increase in productivity, creativity, and mental sharpness.

The basics of batch processing is grouping similar tasks together that require the same type of resources.

This allows you to streamline the entire process. As a blogger, it is real easy to get pulled into wearing

10 to 20 different hats in a given day. When I first started out, I spent a lot of time in that boat.

My boat ended up spinning around in circles and circles on most days when I really needed to be driving in a single

direction towards a specific goal. Over the years, I have moved into batching my core processes.

At first, I started by blocking an hour, then a couple of hours, and then I moved all the way up to blocking

off an entire day. The more time I blocked off, the more productive I became. It did not stop

at productivity. These large blocks of time allowed me to immerse myself into a specific area of my business,

and it led to a huge spike in creativity and new idea generation.
