Summary
(00:00-25:40) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison after a day off discussing what they did during the three-day weekend. They start off today’s show by discussing Purdue’s game tonight against Michigan State after losing to Wisconsin at home over the weekend. Additionally, Jake discusses how Mike Woodson has helped IU basketball know what they do not want in the next head coach.
(25:40-33:10) – Jake comes back from break and shares who he believes is the best Saturday Night Live cast member of all-time. Once he explains his thoughts, he discusses the NBA All-Star Weekend.
(33:10-46:25) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Eddie continuing their discussion about NBA All-Star Weekend and how it continues to be a boring product. It leads to a conversation about how interesting the NHL 4 Nations Face-Off games have been.
(46:25-1:12:44) – Brian Neubert from GoldAndBlack.com joins the program with Jake Query to explain what has gone wrong with Purdue in the losses to Michigan and Wisconsin. Brian touches on the inconsistencies of Purdue being tied to Camden Heide and Myles Colvin, wonders where this team would be if Daniel Jacobsen doesn’t get hurt early in the season, and assesses which player is missed more between Lance Jones and Mason Gillis.
(1:12:44-1:23:07) – For the first time in several years, Jake attended an IU basketball game as a fan. He recaps his experience last Friday to when he went to games during his peak fandom.
(1:23:07-1:34:43) – Hour number two concludes with Jake discussing the statement given by Brad Stevens to Jeff Goodman about the IU coaching job. Also, he identifies a couple of names that should be on IU’s coaching list that are different from the names he provided last week.
(1:34:43-2:00:21) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files joins Jake Query to assess the All-Star Weekend between Saturday night and the games on Sunday. They also preview the “second half” of the season by debating which player should be starting between Aaron Nesmith and Bennedict Mathurin, admits that he is fascinated to see how Tyrese Haliburton plays coming out of the break now that he’s been able to rest for the first time in two years, and plays stock up or stock down with Jake.
(2:00:21-2:08:30) – Jake and Eddie giveaway a pair of tickets for a listener to go see comedian Jo Koy at Clowes Memorial Hall on February 27th!
(2:08:30-2:20:19) – Today’s show closes with Jake discussing who the best Saturday Night Live cast member of all-time is with JMV!
