We introduced you to an activist here in our home state and in our community by the name of Will keeps.

And we'll had produced a viral video with one of the police officers in the Des Moines Police Department.

And just trying to bridge the gap of community relationships between our urban community here and and the police. And they did a phenomenal acapella of I remember right.

Version of Bon Jovi's living on a prayer. I mean, it's terrific. I mean, they sounded great video went viral. I got to know Will and see what he's trying to do in our downtown areas here in Des Moines.

And really is a building of a lot of bridges. He's talking. He works with a traditional Democrat party constituencies within the black community.

But he'd also reached out to people like our governor, Kim Reynolds and others just realizing literally, you know, it literally is going to take a broader village than what has been happened in before.

And had done a lot of great work in our community. And and still was and is yesterday we had something we don't have a lot into moine.

We had we had a shooting. And we'll try to break it up and stop it from occurring and ended up getting shot in the process.

Now, I don't have an update this morning. What I was told last night is that he was in serious condition, which I believe is less severe than critical condition that he was shot like in the hip area.

Which of course, now you can get into fear of paralysis and severe nerve damage, but he was able to go to the bathroom and stuff by himself before they put him in the surgery to remove the bullet. He was lucid. He was talking.

I don't know how to explain it. The guy that he tried to disarm shot him.

And it was obvious that will was not yet dead, but he left him alone and went over and shoot to death the other two individuals that were involved in that shooting.

So just a tragic circumstance. We got so much reaction to when we had will on the show a couple of years ago and getting to know him and his story.

And what he is trying to do to make a difference both cross racially, cross generationally, cross ideologically. And so just wanted, you know, if you are in the, if you're in the prayer warrior camp, if you could add will keeps and his family to your list and his health.

Because it's, it's no coincidence given the work that he was doing that pardon me his, his building his facility.

And what he was doing with that to build bridges in our community. No secret that that would be a place that the the enemy would target.

For something tragic and terrible to occur. So I know those of you that live in places surround that that you know places like L.A. New York, Philadelphia, Portland, Baltimore, these sorts of stories to you are all to sadly common occurrences on your local news, but we don't get them a lot here.

And so, and it, of course, for us knowing will, I mean, this hits home for us as well. So appreciate any of you that are willing to add him to your prayer list for sure.
