Welcome to the Barnyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the hump day edition of the yard.

If you didn't hear from me yesterday, you probably wondered why. Well, it's because my vacation got postponed.

A member of our family tested positive for COVID, so you can't get on the ship with a positive test. And so we had to postpone.

Hopefully everybody will be good when we get ready to go again. But here we are. So you'll get a regular schedule of Boneyard for the foreseeable future.

We'll talk about some of the baseball transfer portal stuff that's going on around the Southeastern Conference.

We'll look ahead of the College World Series and we'll talk a little bit about the Banner Year documentary. The

debut last night on the SEC Network, our own David Murray, a participant in that production.

Always good to see Dave get involved. Yeah, I'll tell you guys, you know, Dave Murray has been a mentor to me for many years.

And I've always had such a tremendous respect for Dave's knowledge about Mississippi State Athletics.

And in many respects, I've kind of aspired to be the Dave Murray of my generation in that respect.

Of course, Dave and I don't use the same barbers.

I don't have one. He doesn't need one. But all that said, very happy that David's involved in all

that. I thought it was very well done. And so we'll talk about that a little bit later in the

show. I want to thank you guys too for hanging here with us.

I had a lot of people reach out the day and say, hey, Steve, enjoy your vacation. Don't worry

about the show. Don't worry about the website. Well, I always worry about the show and the website

and social media presence and maybe perhaps I shouldn't. But I was very much looking forward to

having some time to spend with my children, kind of away from Stargville.

Nothing against Stargville, but I like to get out and go make memories.

As you guys know, even though I have been very fortunate in life, I would rather do things than have things.

And having a chance to get out and go make some memories with my kids, very important to me.
