Jesse we are off this week on our massive three city North American tour but we didn't want to leave our

listeners with nothing to listen to so this week we're bringing our listeners one of my favorite recent

podcast episodes this is from the free press and it's called

the story of Matthew Shepard changed America but it wasn't true.

Yeah, this is a fascinating, interesting story on every front.

I first got into it by reading Stephen Jimenez's book,

The Book of Matt, Hidden Truths about the Murder of Matthew Shepard,

and I just, you know, we do a lot of stories on the show but we're shocked at the

difference between what appears to have really happened and what everyone thinks happened and this is a prime example of that.

Yeah absolutely I first heard that the to this day and Ben Kowaler from the free press he actually went to

Laramie Wyoming and did some fantastic reporting and interviews there and

honestly I'm mad that the free press did it instead of us but of course you know I mean I'm a shut in and I only leave my house for these arena shows that we're doing all over the country.

Yeah, see you guys in Madison Square Garden. Uh-huh. Yeah.
