The text for Pastor John's sermon this morning is in Galatians chapter 2, verses 9 through 13, and I invite you to follow along as I read.

Galatians 2, 9 through 13. When they perceived the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship that we

should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised, only they would have us remember the poor,

which very thing I was eager to do. But when Seifis came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face

because he stood condemned.

For before certain men came from James, he ate with the Gentiles.

But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party.

And with him, the rest of the Jews acted inincerely so that even Barnabas was carried

away by their insincerity. We've been focusing on Barnabas now for the last three weeks, and today we

complete this three-part series.

First, we focused on the goodness of a great faith, from chapter 11, verse 24,

and we talked about six aspects of the goodness of this great man.

And last week we talked about the maker of a great leader and several

dimensions or aspects or marks of a biblical leader maker, which Barnabas was as a son of encouragement.

And last week you may remember that I skipped over very quickly

one very crucial aspect of leader making,

namely patience with failing people,

patience with people who failed.

And I said I'm skipping over it

because I wanted to make it the lead-in or the link

to this week's message about the weakness of a great man.
