I know on several other podcasts, everybody's talking, whether it's an investigative grand jury or

regular grand jury in L.A. on the, I do have a question about that. You know, it feels like

if memory serves, the body was found in September, right? So we're now, you know, a good two,

three, four months into this. So at this current stage, what are they, what are they doing with

this grand jury? Are they looking for somebody to say something under oath to be the last

piece that they can use to put with all of the investigation that has been done and then go and

make an arrest? Is that what's like, what stage are we at? I'm kind of confused. I listened to

Angry Men this week and you and Harvey did a wonderful 35 or 40 minute episode about it, but that's still, I'm still a little bit lost.

I know that the, the, the DA got frustrated with one of the witnesses and then couldn't get one of

the witnesses there and had the judge issue a body order, but, but what exactly is, you know,

the DA thinking at the moment?

I think I said in that podcast, I've known Beth Silverman since she was a brand new deputy

in the juvenile court in Pasadena back then on the sixth floor.

She is about as aggressive and take no prisoners DA as you've got in the,

in L.A. County, that's one of the reasons she's in major crimes. And my guess is that when

the, I've talked about the fact that the medical examiner took the unprecedented

step.

So I'm old enough to remember Thomas Noguchi, who I think the old TV show Quincee based

on, but I have never seen a medical examiner come out and basically have to lecture the law enforcement on what their proper

role is. And if you believe what's being reported, they went, the LAPD went to a judge once and
