Rumor has it, you were actually in court on Friday on the West Coast, yeah?

Yes, I was.

I spent most of the afternoon in court, and it was very interesting to watch.

Yeah, something, you know, people generally, it's a very rare thing that you were attending.

In a criminal case they don't do depositions normally and don't do anything outside of prior to trial with

witnesses except motions to suppress or preliminary hearings things like that.

In rare cases, you can do a what's called a conditional examination

and that's what you watch where a witness is not available during trials so you can videotape.

You do it in the courtroom and I assume you had the judge there, yes?

We had the judge there, we had his clerk, the bail bailiff the two prosecutors and and the client and it was a very interesting because it was very much like it was a part of the trial but with no jury present so yeah it was it was unique it was an

interesting thing to watch. Well we'll talk about it next week after a full week of trial. You know, we're going to lead off with, I think, a clip
