And we're going to meditate on our baptism.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, especially the healing of Olivia

and Margot through the intercession of Blessed Pauline Jericho. Now Now to understand our baptism we need to understand the baptism of Jesus

because that event is made present in our baptism.

Now I didn't record a rosary at the Jordan River

while I was in the Holy Land

because it was about 120 degrees there.

It's next to the lowest place on the planet, the Dead Sea.

So we meditate on the baptism of Jesus and our own baptism in this rosary.

In the Jordan River, where Christ himself was baptized, it's interesting to reflect on how Jesus connected his baptism with his death.

If you remember when James and John wanted to sit at his left hand, he told them that they did not

know what they were asking for and he said, can you be baptized with the baptism

with which I am baptized?

He's clearly speaking about his suffering and death.
