We're working on the title. But since we don't really have a proper title for this, that means we can dive right into it. Yeah, Caleb Downs is in the portal. He sure is. And I know my audience. You people are sadistic. I know you want me to lead with that. I opened up the mailbag yesterday. I'm recording early Wednesday morning. I opened it yesterday. And I would say about the last 150 to 200 submissions I got before I cut it off this morning is, hey, talk about Caleb

Downs. Hey, this was inevitable. Not Downs specifically, but these moves were inevitable. You don't get to do

two things at once. You don't get to be an Alabama

fan, for example, and enjoy over a decade and a half run with the greatest to ever do it,

and also have him right off into the sunset and just not skip a beat. You can have one,

you can have the other, you can't have both. And if you have the other, it probably comes

hand in hand with not having a loaded roster to begin with.

Like Alabama's roster is not going to be a poverty roster or anything this coming year.

But what it will be is a lot on par with what most of the rest of the country has had to try and win with for a long time.

McClellan DeBore, who is yet to coach a a down even in a spring game in Alabama,

will probably still be looking this fall at the most talented roster that he's ever coached,

and that's even with guys leaving.

So as I'm recording, and let me make sure you understand,

as I'm recording, things could change by the time Bradley edits this and uploads it.

Downs is in the portal. Georgia, likely destination. That in and of itself, not shocking. It's been this albatross that's been around Kirby Smart's neck for a little while that he ever let him get out of the state. And so whatever the circumstances are, if I'm from Georgia, I don't care. If I'm getting that dude to put in the backfield, the defensive backfield with Malachi

So that's putting cart before horse a little bit, but our latest guidance has been and continues to be.
