1:03.4	It's funny because I feel like a lot of people coming from our Picard coverage are going to be
1:07.8	somewhat shocked by some of my takes because I'm usually kind of critical about evil federation
1:13.8	takes and stealing starships and character swings that are kind of weird and unexpected.
1:21.3	But I feel like because of the format and the time period in which this show takes place,
1:27.3	they neatly dodge all of those.
1:29.9	Like it's okay actually for Spock to be kind of emotional and have tears in his eyes as he's
1:36.1	saving Nurse Chapel because he is, this is a younger, less self-assured, less in control of
1:44.8	his Vulcan human emotions. And as the doctor pointed out, there's a story reason for it too.
1:51.6	He lowered those inhibitions to tap into his anger to defeat the Gorn and now we're dealing with
1:55.9	that emotional fallout this season. The federation is not quite the uta-tetted there.
2:02.0	It's not quite the utopia that we get to in the next generation era.
