Deaf Leppert is one of the most successful hard rock bands of the 80s and hysteria was

self-consciously designed to be a blockbuster like thriller except for pop metal.

Every song was designed to be maximum melodic, able to be released as a single,

able to make millions of dollars.

And this song, in America anyway, was the first single released off of hysteria.

An album that won on to sell 12.5 million copies in America,

12 and a half more worldwide. This song is the first single

fucking flopped. It did terrible. It almost took the entire album down with it.

And there's nothing really that wrong with it. And there's nothing really that wrong with it. It just didn't hit. It just was not

a commercial success. And now, I like the hair on top of my head, it's lost to memory.

People look at me, they see a big gray beard.

They don't see the beautiful head of hair I used to see.

My beard is pour some sugar on me.

This is some lost hair metal.
